You can’t f— with Cardi B, even if you wanted to.
The former #LHHNY reality star has proven herself as an unstoppable newcomer in the rap game, gaining momentum month after month following the June release of her debut single, “Bodak Yellow.” The red-bottomed hitmaker has smashed multiple records with the track that peaked at No. 1 on charts while still keeping it 100 with the #BardiGang on social media. Completely at ease with her sudden wealth and fame, Cardi B isn’t ashamed to flaunt her racks, telling her Instagram haters to turn the “why her and not me?” comments into fuel for future success.
While Cardi B has kept her professional aspirations on lock, the rapper’s love life has blossomed into an iced-out icon-status pairing between two talented MCs. The “Foreva” rapper has been linked to Offset, one-third of the ATL trap trio Migos since February 2017 and has documented their rock-solid relationship heavily on social media.
To lock down the heat between the two icons, Offset proposed to a ready-to-perform Cardi B while on stage at Power 99’s Powerhouse concert in Philadelphia. While the “Bodak Yellow” rapper spent the weekend reliving the surprise and flaunting her 8-carat diamond ring on social media, she took to IG to tell her fans that she should have seen the big question coming.
“OK guys I know I keep posting about this day but I just can’t believe it. I keep replaying it in my head,” she wrote, captioning a backstage photo of the moment Offset got down on bended knee. “I keep smiling every minute. I should have known something was up since this n–a keep telling me to go get my nails done. Like since when you cared about my nails? I love you and I love how you managed to get my mom to come out and witness my engagement. I’m the happiest girl in the world ❤️❤️ @offsetyrn you a true King .”
We can’t decide what’s cuter, the fact that Offset managed to bring Cardi’s mom out to witness her daughter’s engagement, or the fact that he knew she’d want her nails perfect for the photo op…but we do know what their wedding special needs to be named: “Never Let Migo.”
