With its colorful performances and dance-friendly singles, the K-pop scene has expanded its global appeal from a little-known Korean export into a worldwide sensation. Fresh of the BTS hysteria that swept across North America following the boy band’s first set of stateside appearances, K-pop girl group TWICE released “Heart Shaker,” their fifth single of 2017.
The nine-member group which boasts the talents of Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung and Tzuyu was formed during the course of the South Korean reality show “Sixteen” back in 2015. In just their two years on the scene, TWICE has already amassed an impressive discography including one studio album, two reissue albums, one compilation collection, five extended plays and nine singles.

While all of their albums have performed within the top 15 of the World Albums chart, “Heart Shaker” off of their “Merry & Happy” reissue of “Twicetagram” is sure to be their breakout international best-selling single. In just 24 hours after its release, the track’s heart-themed, dance-heavy accompanying visual has racked up an impressive 15 million views. Before the release of “Heart Shaker,” the record for the group’s most viewed music video was claimed by their single “Likey” off of 2017’s “Twicetagram.”
With its mind-bending use of mirrored choreography, sugar-coated lyrics and snowfall backdrops, “Heart Shakers” is the K-pop track you’ve been waiting for this holiday season.
