Following his decision to exploit the trauma and pain of a suicide victim for the benefit of his vlog, Logan Paul was permanently banned from joining Vine 2. The 22-year-old social media superstar saw fit to close out 2017 with a trip to Japan’s infamous Aokigahara forest (also known as the suicide forest) located on the northwestern side of Mount Fuji. On an vlogging expedition initially designed to explore the “haunted” nature of the location, Paul and his gang of fellow viral stars came across the hanging body of a recently deceased suicide victim.

Instead of shutting down vlog production and alerting authorities with somber respect, Paul yelled out “Yo, are you f—ing with us?” in the direction of the body before laughing and cracking jokes next to the victim. Zooming in on the individual’s hands and even including an the image of his body in the thumbnail of the video, it became clear that Paul had absolutely no respect for the victim and was eager to exploit raw pain and suffering for his own economic gain.

While many have called the removal of his channel from YouTube, the video-sharing platform has declined to comment on the controversy. Despite YouTube’s frustrating silence on the matter, the second iteration of Vine, a short-form video hosting service app that served as Paul’s initial claim to fame has spoken out on the matter.

“Logan Paul . has been banned from the Vine 2 Platform. We condemn the inhumane acts of the Video regarding “Taunting” a Dead Body found in a Japanese Forest. There will be no place for toxic activity on our platform,” tweeted the Vine 2 team.

Taking it one step further, the team behind the soon-to-be-released app also announced that they were banning the username “Logan Paul” as well.

“We are aware that . has committed inhumane acts in one of his vlogs regarding a dead body found in a Japanese forest. For this purpose, The Username @ “LoganPaul” will be banned from the Vine 2 Platform. We will not tolerate such Disgusting, Inhumane behaviors,” they wrote.

The tweet’s comment section was soon flooded with support from the many members of the anti-#Logang crew who agreed with the ban.

Thankfully, it looks like Logan Paul will never reclaim the Vine fame that he once enjoyed.
