Fresh off of their fire, futuristic “Motorsport” release, Nicki Minaj and Quavo collaborated on “She For Keeps,” a track featured on Atlanta-based record label Quality Control’s “Control The Streets” compilation album.

The duo kicked it back one decade further than Cardi B and Bruno Mars’ “Finesse” remix, skipping past the ’90s for a colorfully distinct ’80s vibe. With Quavo rocking a fanny pack and a splash-paint neon button down and sipping shakes with Minaj in a retro diner, there’s no denying the visual was reaching for a muted, throwback setting for the union of two hip-hop icons.

Debuting to a mountain of praise, fans were all too eager to hype the video’s nostalgic easter eggs– from Reebok Pumps and brick phones to landlines and Super Nintendo consoles. Coupled with the serious looks served by Minaj, the visual proved to be a slam dunk with fans.
