We didn’t see this coming.

Kirsten Dunst appears on the cover of the new issue of Town & Country and sat down for an interview with the magazine to talk about her acting career – the successes and the hard times.

More specifically, she spoke about her 2008 stint in rehab. The actress says her depression was a cause of "totally ridiculous expectations people put on actors."

If you don’t remember, Kirsten checked herself into the popular celeb rehab and treatment center, Cirque Lodge, in Utah when she was 27 years old. Rumors swirled that she went to get treatment for drug and alcohol problems, however, that was not the case.

“What people expect of an actor is totally ridiculous,” she told Town & Country.

“It's unfair that an artist is expected to speak really well in public and have skin tough enough to withstand sometimes really hurtful criticism, but also, in order to do the job, be really sensitive and in touch with their feelings.”

Totally true! There’s so much pressure on actors and people who are always in the public eye to be perfect. Give them a break!

She recently started filming the second season of Fargo.

“TV is a lot harder than film,” she tells the magazine. “A lot harder.”

She also said this about her boyfriend, actor Garrett Hedlund: "We've been together for three and a half years, so, yes, it's going really well. We're the same age. We have similar backgrounds," she shared. She also melted our hearts when we read this: "He feels like family to me."
