We're almost to the last hour of Game of Thrones for the 2016 year, and it's shaping up to be one heck of a finale. And as with season finales, we've got more than a few predictions, some of which will probably be dead wrong. But what's more fun than speculating on what's going to happen next while you're waiting for your next Game of Thrones episode?
King's Landing Will Be Burned To A Crisp
That's right. Cersei's been looking for wyldfyre, and it appears that Qyburn has found it. After being denied her trial by combat by her own son, there's nothing left of her family in King's Landing. The prophecy will come true and Cersei will lose her third child. But this time, she's going to be the one to do it. By the time Dany gets to Westeros, she's going to have to find a new city to act as her capital, because there won't be anything left of King's Landing when Cersei is done with it.
Which pretty much means that wilfdire is going to burn down the Red Keep and everything around it.
Jon Snow's Heritage Is Going To Be Revealed
We've been dancing around the question since pretty much the first episode. But it's time to stop tiptoeing around it and the show has been teasing it out all this season. It's high past time that, for once and for all, we at least learn beyond a shadow of a doubt that Jon Snow is a Targaryen. More likely than not, it's going to be through Bran Stark that we learn it, and Bran will have to haul ass to Winterfell so that Jon Snow can be told who he really is.
Dany Is Going to Leave Essos For Good
We have never seen Dany in Westeros. Ever. It's time for her to quit messing around with these bit players in Yunkai, Meereen and Slaver's Bay and to take this show across the sea. But first, she's going to have to get past Euron Greyjoy's fleet. With her dragons, that shouldn't be terribly difficult, unless of course, Euron has something that could take control of those dragons. But that battle's coming one way or another, and it's going to end in Dany sailing west.
The Starks Reunite In Winterfell
For once, Arya is actually going to get where she wants to go and actually have her family there waiting for her. And of course, when Starks get together, trouble always follows. But when Bran, Jon, Sansa and Arya get together and compare notes, it's all going down.
The High Sparrow Will Die
This is less of a prediction and more of a hope. We really just want the High Sparrow to go down brutally.
What do you think is going to happen for the Game of Thrones finale? Will we see a Dire Wolf?
