Starbucks’ New Caramel Popcorn Frappuccino Is Made With Real Bits Of Popcorn

If you’ve ever wished your Starbucks Frappuccino tasted a little bit more like a baseball game, the coffee giant has just the drink for you: a Frap that tastes like Cracker Jacks, the Caramel Popcorn Frappuccino.

But in a sick, ironic twist, the America’s pastime-flavored beverage is not officially available in the United States—the Caramel Popcorn Frappuccino is only available in Europe for now.

The drink is the latest in a long line of out-there Starbucks beverages that includes an espresso beer and a beef jerky-flavored coffee.

The Frap is made with popcorn brittle blended with Starbucks’ creme Frappuccino syrup, ice, and milk. Then it’s topped with whipped cream, butterscotch drizzle, and yet more popcorn brittle.

It seems to be drawing positive reviews from consumers on Instagram.

Fortunately for all the jealous, thirsty Starbucks stans stateside, their across-the-pond counterparts won’t get to enjoy the apparent goodness for very long. According to Brand Eating, the drink will only be available in Europe through the summer.

Meanwhile, here in the U.S. and Canada, our special summer Fraps are the new Midnight Mint Mocha Frappuccino and the S’mores Frappuccino, which is making its return.

Still prefer the sound of the Caramel Popcorn Frappuccino? The fine people of Starbucks Secret Menu have you covered. Here’s what they recommend you order at Starbucks to re-create the beverage on this side of the pond:

  • Start by ordering a Toffee Nut Frappuccino
  • Add Caramel Drizzle to line the inside of the cup
  • Add Whipped Cream and Caramel Drizzle
  • Add Sea Salt – 1-2 packets depending on personal taste and size
