It turns out that even celebrities aren’t immune to the delicious call of McDonald’s Szechuan McNugget sauce.
Following the explosion in popularity that the twenty year old sauce has been enjoying since it featured prominently on an episode of Rick and Morty, the internet has been abuzz with petitions and desperate discussion about where this sauce might be found.
Someone managed to sell an authentic pot that had been sat in a car for twenty years, which is horribly gross, and now, McDonald’s has officially brought back the delicious treat – albeit in very small quantities.
There are currently four big bottles of this sauce scattered around the world, and now, one has sold to DJ Deadmau5 for the staggering sum of $15,000.
Yeesh, that’s a lot of money. Especially considering, let’s face it, McDonald’s is inevitably going to roll this sauce out for all customers – after all, the restaurant would be turning money away if they didn’t.
Robert Workman, who won a bottle of the sauce as part of a giveaway on McDonald’s Periscope promotional account, elected to auction his prize off on eBay, donating a chunk of the proceeds to charity.
I’m in. Let me finish getting married n shit

The winner of the auction? Deadmau5, bidding and tweeting while at his wedding.
That’s how much Deadmau5 loves Szechuan sauce, apparently.

We probably don’t have to wait forever for McDonald’s to produce more of this sauce, and to make it readily available at every restaurant where people have even vaguely heard of Rick and Morty, but in the meantime, Deadmau5 is one of the only people on planet Earth who can enjoy this stuff.
Here’s hoping he drinks the entire bottle in one go, purely because he can.
