El Esqueleto Verde Cocktail Recipe

There is nothing better than a cocktail made with fresh ingredients. Oh wait, yes there is – a cocktail made with fresh ingredients AND mezcal. Los Angeles mixologist, Zachary Patterson, created a cocktail for The Savory that includes smoky mezcal, fresh produce, almond syrup and green tea; a combination so strange that it works perfectly. 


El Esqueleto Verde

1.5 oz Mezcal

1 oz Green Tea

2 Spoonfuls of Avocado

½ oz Orgeat Syrup

½ oz Fresh Lime Juice

Pinch of Smoked Salt 

Lime Wheel for Garnish


Start by boiling and steeping jasmine green tea. Seperately muddle avocado, orgeat syrup and lime in your shaker. Add tea and mezcal. Shake and strain in coupe glass. Add small sprinkle of smoked salt. Lime wheel garnish.
