Laura of The First Mess adoringly states that her veggie patties have “everything that hippie dreams are made of.” We’d have to agree with that. This recipe is vegan, bread-free and gluten-free. Charmed by her newspaper presentation and inclusion of fresh chopped herbs and beets, we really wouldn’t expect this nourishing blogs’ veggie burgers to be any other way. One of the best things about this recipe is that it can be tweaked by adding in or substituting some of the components for personal preferences. It’s a kind of veggie burger blueprint. In Laura’s version, she recommends refrigerating the burgers for at least an hour before cooking.
