How do you improve on perfection?
After all, a grilled cheese sandwich is pretty much perfect to start with. So what can McDonald’s have done for their Hong Kong customers that would top the wonder of a standard cheesy snack?
The answer is twofold: first, you add macaroni to make a mac and cheese grilled sandwich. The whole experience is instantly infinitely better than it was to start with.
Then, you add bacon.
Sure, Hong Kong’s McDonald’s restaurants are also selling a version with corn instead of bacon, but we all know that’s a chump’s sandwich. The solution to the question of how to make the best grilled cheese sandwich in history simply has to revolve around the addition of delicious, crispy bacon.
While ordinarily with unusual Asian fast food alternatives it’s unlikely that we’ll ever get to enjoy these bizarre oddities on our home turf, considering the obvious appeal of a mac and cheese grilled sandwich with bacon, it’s not entirely impossible that this delicious new addition to the McDonald’s menu might make its way to us in the near future.
Even if we don’t get to try this in a McDonald’s now, the idea’s been planted in your head, you can always make your own grilled mac and cheese and bacon sandwich. Just don’t tell anyone who works for McDonald’s.
