Cotton Candy Grapes are about to be in season. What are they? Click here for all the crazy deets. Once you are done educating yourselves, let make us some Cotton Candy Grape simple syrup to put in our cocktails. The process couldn’t be easier.

What you need:

1 Bunch of Cotton Candy Grapes

1 ½ Cup of Sugar

2 Cups of Water

A Muddler (or anything to crush the grapes)

What to do:

-In a mixing tin, pint glass or even a bowl, use the muddler to crush your grapes. The amount is up to you and your taste. Cotton Candy Grapes are less bitter than most but will provide a nice balance in your syrup.

-Combine the sugar, water and crushed grapes in a medium to large saucepan and boil it down until it becomes a syrup, stirring throughout.

-With a cheesecloth or collender, strain out the solids from your syrup and pour into a sealable jar.

-Let the syrup cool. It will stay for 7-10 days if refrigerated.

Use it in this cocktail:

The Autumnal Carnival

2 oz Reposado Tequila

1 oz Cotton Candy Grape Simple Syrup

2 Slices Cucumber

1 Lemon

1 Lime

Muddle fruit and cucumber with the simple syrup in a mixing tin. Pour in tequila. Shake 26 times with ice. Dump straight into a rocks glass.
