Seriously, why does McDonald’s Japan get all the best food items? They have things like green tea milkshakes, a teriyaki burger, and something called an Idaho burger, which has bacon, cheese, and a goddamn hash brown on it. A HASH BROWN.

And don’t get me started on the McNugget Bucket, which is basically a gigantic to-go cup filled with the nectar of the chicken gods. Get it together, American McDonald’s!

The culinary geniuses over at McDonald’s Japan have really outdone themselves with their latest menu item, although the name could use some work. The fast food chain plans to introduce the McChocolate Potatoes to their novelty/specialty food menu on January 26 and stoners everywhere are rejoicing at the announcement.

The new menu item is basically just some fries that are drizzled in white and milk chocolate, and can be ordered with a meal for a mere 60 yen (51 cents) more, or ordered a la carte for 330 yen ($2.74).

What a genius business move this is: they’re basically taking the middleman out of that whole “dipping your fries in a milkshake” thing by offering this new dish.

I feel like all that’s left to do is smoke a joint and start a petition to get the amazingness that is the McChocolate Potatoes (and the McNugget Bucket, while we’re at it) to U.S. menus nationwide—or at least in LA.
