Pisco Sour Cocktail Recipe

The official spirit of both Peru and Chile, the grape brandy Pisco, is both underrated and underappreciated here in the US. But thanks to the recent craft cocktail movement, Pisco is making itself known as a force to be reckoned with. For novices and experts alike, the Pisco Sour is a great cocktail to familiarize yourself with this South American powerhouse.

Pisco Sour

3 oz Pisco
.5 oz Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice
.5 oz Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice
1 oz Simple Syrup
1 Egg White
4 Dashes Angostura Bitters
Combine all ingredients, except bitters, in a shaker. Shake with ice 52 times. Strain into martini glass, emptying all egg white foam into glass. Garnish with 4 dashes of Angostura Bitters.
