Dia de los Muertos, coming up this fall, is the Mexican celebration that honors family and friends who have passed on to the other side. We here at The Savory are big fans of focusing on the celebration, and all celebrations are best with cocktails.

Most people don’t realize just how versatile tequila can be. First appearing in Mr. Boston Official Bartender’s Guide, this slightly bitter cocktail is complex and  looks great in a glass with its deep rose complexion. Amigos, meet The Rosita.

The Rosita

1 1/2 oz. Reposado Tequila

1/2 oz. Sweet Vermouth

1/2 oz. Dry Vermouth

1/2 oz. Campari

1 dash Angostura bitters

Lemon Twist for Garnish

Stir ingredients in shaker with ice cubes, strain into a Collins glass filled with cracked ice, and garnish with a lemon twist.
