An Android and iOS App, sleek black cars, and… ice cream.  Uber, the car service start-up turned internationally sweeping business picks up drunken young professionals at the swipe of a screen.  Now, for one day only, TODAY, GUYS – Uberers (yes, you gotta sign up first) in 18 US cities and 16 international cities can order group-sized batches of ice cream to arrive at your location via a Carvel ice cream truck.  People have to order more than one cream to have a truck show up.  The trucks ill be out from 11am to 5pm, and six ice creams will cost roughly $20-$35.

Here’s the thing – last year they ran out of ice cream.  However, if ice cream is requested and they can’t deliver it, Uber will email you a coupon good for a 50% discount towards Steve’s Ice Cream.  Grab some friends, order now, and grab a black car for happy-hour-hopping to continue your adult ice cream social.

How it works:

  • Open the Uber App
  • Request the “ice cream” option
  • If a truck is available, Carvel will show up to your place with 6 ice cream sandwiches.
  • No cash required – your ice cream will be charged directly to your Uber account just like if you ordered a car.
