Gigi Hadid is not happy after Kanye West made a huge diss at her BFF, Taylor Swift. The supermodel is not staying quiet about it either because when you mess with Tay-Tay, you mess with her squad. The rapper, who launched his new Yeezy season three collection and dropped his highly anticipated album, The Life of Pablo, took a shot at Taylor Swift on his newest track, “Famous.”
It would be an understatement to say that Taylor’s squad is upset about the lyric, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. Why? I made that b*tch famous.” The “Blank Space” singer’s celebrity friends were not impressed and expressed their disappointment on social media.
Gigi, who is not only good friends with Taylor, but besties with Kendall Jenner, attended the fashion show on Thursday night. After listening to Kanye’s newest single, “Famous,” the model tweeted, “My attendance somewhere does not mean I agree with everything being said in the music playing here. My friends know my loyalty.”
The blonde beauty wasn’t the only squad member to defend the “Bad Blood” singer. Jaime King shared her “disappointment” with the rapper. “I’m so sad right now and disappointed right now. I stand by my sister. Always.” Even Ruby Rose from OITNB defended Tay-Tay and tweeted, “And now my dear friend Taylor… Right before another huge moment for her… Can I still support [Kanye] and call myself a feminist? A friend? No.”
Taylor’s brother, Austin Swift, immediately had his sister’s back. The singer’s brother shared a hilarious video on Instagram that showed Austin throwing out his Yeezy sneakers. “Getting a head start on some spring cleaning,” he captioned. Taylor’s boyfriend, Calvin Harris, and BFF, Selena Gomez, liked Austin’s video. So now it’s Taylor’s squad against Kanye’s family. Are you #TeamTaylor or #TeamKanye?
