Boxer Rick Ogden is no stranger to defeat.
In eight professional fights, Ogden has eight losses, all by way of knockout, essentially making him the anti-Floyd Mayweather.
But none was more demoralizing than the one he suffered on Monday, when a right-handed slug from Mikey Dahlman, who was making his professional debut, sent Ogden back against the ropes and eventually out of the ring altogether, led by his butt.
The 160-pound middleweight bout took place at the Civic Center in Hammond, Indiana, and lasted all of two minutes and 14 seconds before Dahlman ended things with a vicious exclamation point.
Dahlman, a native of Chesteron, Indiana, trains with Eric Groves at Round 1 Boxing in Joliet, Illinois.
TMZ reported that the fight’s promoter indicated the 0-8 Ogden, of Kalamazoo, Michigan, was “okay” afterward.
It’s perhaps the most brutal boxing knockout we’ve seen since Mason Menard treated the face of Eudy Bernardo in a similar fashion back in April 2016.
