Hockey is a dangerous sport. Grown men skating at full speed and trying to wreck each other, it's just downright brutal. It's the only sport in which fighting is allowed. Well, except for MMA, but yeah, it's insanely dangerous. One of the most lethal parts of the game is the thick, fast-moving puck that flies all around the ice. Players routinely get hit by this object, and let me tell you, it's a doozy.

When Zach Werenski took one of those suckers to the face, everyone thought that would be the end of the night for him. Not too many people get up from that kind of trauma. Not only did Werenski get up, he got back in the game!

If you want to know just how serious an injury this was, here is what Werenski looked like after the game. Keep in mind, the dude PLAYED THROUGH THIS INJURY!!!

He is a better man than I. I probably would have just gone home and cried and never played hockey again. That's why I'm not a multi-millionaire hockey player. I'm fine with my choices.
