Eagles Trade Away Their Future for No. 2 Pick

The Philadelphia Eagles desperately need a franchise quarterback, and apparently they’re willing to trade away the future of the team to get one.

One week after the Los Angeles Rams sent six draft picks to the Tennessee Titans for the No. 1 overall pick, it looks like the Eagles are doing the same thing for the No. 2 selection.

Philly has traded five draft picks, including 2016 and 2017 first rounders, so they can draft a top quarterback prospect.

Philly will likely select either Carson Wentz or Jared Goff with the second pick, whomever the Rams decide to skip over (many are saying LA wants Goff). That being said, is this really the right draft to trade up for a quarterback? Not only is it a weak year for QBs, but Goff and Wentz don’t exactly scream Andrew Luck or Peyton Manning.

So if Philly sucks over the next two seasons, they’ll have no real chance to rebuild in the draft. What a stupid deal! I bet Eagles fans are starting to miss Chip Kelly.

As for Cleveland, it will be very hard for even the Browns to f*ck this up. They basically just pulled a Boston Celtics, screwing over Philly while hoarding future draft assets. And while many have said the Browns should draft a quarterback in the first round, they already have RGIII and there’s no reason they can’t select someone better than Goff or Wentz in the later rounds (Cardale Jones?).

Never have I been more confident in Cleveland’s front office. Philadelphia on the other hand, what little respect I still had for that team is now gone.
