After an early 15-point deficit, it looked like the Utah Jazz's winning streak would come.
But a big performance for sophomore Rodney Hood and a clutch shot from Gordon Hayward stole victory from the Dallas Mavericks' veteran hands.
Hood drilled a wild, off-balance three-pointer with under two seconds remaining to force overtime.
Before Hayward took care of things in overtime, drilling an impossible-to-block stepback jumper to win in the extra period.
Playing without Trey Burke, who was out with flu-like symptoms, Hood scored 29 points to go with 5 rebounds and 5 assists.
Hayward finished with 20, 5, and 4.
"It was great playing against a veteran team like that and being able to gut one out at their place," Hood said.
The Jazz have won seven straight and currently reside in the seventh seed in the Western Conference with a record of 26-25.
