In the first quarter of Sunday night's Knicks–Hawks tilt—back before the players and fans knew they were in for a whopping 68 minutes of basketball—the Hawks faithful trolled Anthony with the perfect chant while he shot free throws: "Let's go Clippers!"
It's no secret that Knicks president Phil Jackson has been attempting to move Anthony and build around sophomore big man Kristaps Porzingis, who did this to Dwight Howard last night.
The Hawks won in quadruple overtime, 143-139.
Anthony has a full no-trade clause—he's one of only three players in the league with one—which has greatly limited Jackson's ability to move him. There are only so many places Anthony would be willing to play, and some of the possibilities—the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Boston Celtics—have already shot down trade proposals.
But the Clips appear unwilling to deal any of their stars in Paul, Blake Griffin, or DeAndre Jordan. So if Anthony really does end up in Los Angeles, it'll most likely be for a sh*t sandwich for which backup guard and running punchline Austin Rivers is the bread.
