The NFL is the No. 1 professional sports league, at least when it comes to players accidentally shooting themselves or blowing their hands off with fireworks. Luckily, lessons are starting to be learned.

It’s hard to believe it’s been 11 months since New York Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul had his fireworks incident. Somehow he was able to make a comeback after spending half the season on the sideline.

Now that JPP is back with his cool-looking glove, he wants to avoid any potential incidents this Fourth of July that could hinder his ability to get on the field.

Both the U.S. and the Philippines celebrate their independence on the fourth, so that leaves us with 194 possible destinations for Pierre-Paul.

Let’s go with the Congo.

As JPP learned last year, fireworks and explosives are extremely dangerous and Americans are addicted to danger like high fructose corn syrup. So if you’re thinking of having an explosive-filled holiday, maybe you should listen to JPP and take a nice, peaceful Congolese vacation.
