Kevin Durant picked a fight with one of the few humans on the planet larger than him. Thankfully for the wiry Golden State Warriors forward, security stepped in to cut DeMarcus Cousins‘ confrontation of KD in the tunnels of the New Orleans Pelicans‘ Smoothie King Arena short.
Both were ejected after getting into it late in the fourth quarter of the Dubs’ 128-120 victory over the Pels on Monday night.

Needless to say, KD’s threats weren’t taken very seriously by those watching at home.

“Durant might be the toughest player in the league. Not just anyone would square up with Cousins. KD now leads the league in ejections, just another stat category for the GOAT to be on top of.” pic.twitter.com/HTABUXKfOM

It’s his second ejection in three games.
Apparently, Cousins then attempted to confront Durant in the tunnels of the arena, only for security to intervene.
After Kevin Durant and Demarcus Cousins’ ejections – there was some sort of almost-altercation in the back. Cousins came around when KD was exiting. Security has to close doors to separate the two #GoldenState #NewOrleans #Warriors #Pelicans

After the victory, Durant told reporters he doesn’t want to fight, probably because he knows Cousins would go all Gregor Clegane on him.
“I’m not going to fight nobody,” Durant said. “I don’t want to get injured. I don’t want to get suspended. I love to play. I love making money for my family. I’m not trying to get suspended or get in no fights with nobody.”
