Kevin Pillar Makes Like Superman for Incredible Diving Catch

With their usually vaunted offense struggling, the Toronto Blue Jays have to rely on their pitching and defense until the bats of Troy Tulowitzki, Jose Bautista, and Edwin Encarnacion round into form.

Thankfully out in center field, one of baseball's most important defensive positions, they have a damn superhero flying around and making big plays.

Take Sunday, for example. With starter Marcus Stroman protecting a 3-1 lead and a man on first, Minnesota Twins second baseman Brian Dozier ripped to left-center what against almost any other team would have been an RBI extra-base hit.

Just not against the Blue Jays' Kevin Pillar.

Instead, Pillar, powered by the sun, went all Henry Cavill on us, sprinting the ball down and laying out for the Superman grab.

Give that kid his puppy! The outfielder may not have homered, but 2-for-4 with a double and a run-saving catch should be enough for young Timmy to land a new pooch named Pillar, who will also likely kick ass at fetch.

Stroman surrendered just the one run in 7.2 innings, and Roberto Osuna came in to nail down a four-out save, pushing Toronto's record to 22-24.
