It’s Been 3 Games, And The Knicks Are Already Complaining About How Much They Suck

It’s hard to draw conclusions about any team this early in the NBA season, but how are Kristaps Porzingis and the New York Knicks doing three games the 2017-18 campaign?

KP and Co. are off to an 0-3 start and have been outscored by a total of 46 points.

After last night’s demoralizing 110-89 loss to the Boston Celtics, veteran guard Courtney Lee revealed just how much of a trash fire the franchise is.

Last year, Lee had to implore the coaching staff, through the media, to at least try practicing against the pick-and-roll, one of the most widely used offensive staples in the sport.

Tim Hardaway Jr., the Knicks’ big offseason signing, noted a sentiment similar to Lee’s after the loss.

“You guys see it out there,” the guard added. “It’s no secret. We’re turning the ball over, lackadaisical out there. Nothing seems crisp really.”

The team gave Hardaway a four-year, $71 million contract this summer. He’s shooting 24.3 percent from the field and doing boneheaded stuff like shirking box-out duties after looking straight at someone he should be boxing out … a minute into the game.

“It’s one of those nights where you flush it down the toilet,” said head coach Jeff Hornacek.

The coach had better get used to that flush handle, at least until he follows Earl Watson to the NBA coach unemployment office.
