Decorated Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps is in trouble with the law once again.
Phelps was arrested Tuesday morning for driving under the influence in his hometown of Baltimore, MD, per TMZ Sports.
According to TMZ Sports, the 22-time Olympic medalist was pulled over sometime around 1:40 a.m. in his Land Rover SUV and registered a blood alcohol content “almost twice the legal limit.” The report adds that Phelps was initially pulled over for driving 84 mph in a 45 mph zone.

This is Phelps’ second arrest for driving while impaired.
In 2004, a 19-year-old Phelps was arrested in Salisbury, MD after running a stop sign. He stated after the fact, “Getting into a car after anything to drink is wrong. It's dangerous and unacceptable. I'm 19 and was taught that no matter how old you are, you should take responsibility for your actions, which I will do. I'm sorry.”
Phelps was also banned three months by USA Swimming in 2009 after a photo of him smoking marijuana out of a bong at a University of South Carolina party surfaced.
