You hear that? That’s the sound of every agent of every free agent kicker calling Tampa Bay Buccaneers general manager Jason Licht.
He then missed his first two attempts—understandable given their distances of 56 and 49 yards, but neither was even close the goalposts.
Then came his third attempt. Down two scores with under six minutes remaining, the Bucs needed him to connect on a 31-yard kick.
Instead, he sent it wide left.

The Bucs would tack on a touchdown with 2:09 remaining, but couldn’t wrangle in an onside kick before falling 19-14.
“Yeah, I left points out there,” the 32-year-old Folk said after the loss. “We should’ve won that game 20-19. This one’s on me.”
Head coach Dirk Koetter didn’t tell reporters postgame that Folk would be cut. But he didn’t not say he would be cut.
“We’ll talk about that. Jason [Licht] and I had a brief conversation afterwards,” Koetter said. “That’ll be something that’ll be forthcoming. But you don’t want to make any rash decisions.”
