Paul George is back. You can breathe again, state of Indiana.
And he did it in a big way.
Eight months ago, George broke his leg when he collided with a stanchion during a Team USA scrimmage.
Though some pundits questioned the merits of returning with six games remaining in a season that will still have been lost if the Pacers make the playoffs, George and his team have maintained what a step in his rehabilitation seeing NBA game action would be.
Paul George comes back to scorer's table to drop off mouth piece. Breathing heavily, he says to statistician, "I felt like a rookie."

And he definitely looked like he belonged.
George put up 13 points in just 15 minutes off the bench, chipping in 2 boards, 2 assists, and 2 steals in a 112-89 drubbing of the Miami Heat.
Playoffs or not, Indy fans can hibernate much easier over the offseason knowing that George will be ready to wreak his usual two-directional havoc on NBA teams in 2015-16. And if they're lucky (unlucky?), the Pacers will have a lottery pick helping him out.
