New York Giants wide receivers celebrated their Week 17 victory over the Washington Redskins as anyone would—by flying to Miami, partying with Justin Bieber and Trey Songz, and posing for shirtless pictures on a yacht.
Unfortunately for Odell Beckham, Victor Cruz, Sterling Shepard, and Roger Lewis, that now-infamous picture features Songz holding what plainly looks like a joint in the bottom-left corner.

In an Instagram video posted by Beckham on the same day, a voice in the background can be overheard turning down a prescription drug that's on the NFL's banned substance list: "I can't take Adderall."

According to a report from Terez Owens, the man behind the voice is Shepard, a rookie, and the prescription drug, which is often used recreationally, was being "[handed] out like candy." The report also claims that sources indicated marijuana was being used.
On Wednesday, the Giants receivers tried to downplay the incident and reshift the media's attention to their upcoming Wild Card game against the Green Bay Packers.
“Right now, I’m really more focused on the Packers and the Giants," Beckham told reporters. "Any of those questions, whenever y’all want to sit down and have a little side to side, we can do that after the playoffs.”
“Not surprised [it became such a big story]. Let’s move along,” said Cruz. “It’s all about Green Bay now. We’re already a couple of days removed from that. Green Bay is the focus.”
Of course, there's no evidence the Giants receivers abused any drugs during their trip south—in fact, all we have is audio evidence that at least one of them was turning drugs down. Just don't be surprised if each of these guys gets hit with a "random" drug test before Sunday.
