LeBron James is getting MVP love from an unlikely source.
It's been 17 years since Sisqo's "Thong Song" made the Dru Hill vocalist what passed for a household name in the early aughts. Since then, the silver-haired singer has dropped a few albums to little fanfare and appeared on no less than four reality television shows.
And now he's weighed in on the raging NBA MVP debate in his own way—by turning to the reason you know Sisqo exists in the first place: "Thong Song."
At the behest of The Herd's Colin Cowherd, Sisqo sang an updated version of the hit from 2000, making the case that LeBron deserves the award over James Harden, Russell Westbrook, and Kawhi Leonard. And it's not so terrible—the song, that is.
Even crazier than the fact that Sisqo is still rocking those platinum locks: that accomplished spewer Cowherd believes James, whose Cavs faltered to a 11-14 stretch to close the season while playing for and ultimately failing to secure the No. 1 seed in the East, should be considered above the three aforementioned candidates.
Perhaps the truest part of Sisqo's performance came in his introductory chatter: "Colin, these lyrics are crazy. Just want you to know that."
