Stephen Curry (and Under Armour) would like you to know that he doesn't think his endlessly ridiculed Two Low "Chef" sneakers are just for dads on road trips to the Grand Canyon or hospital nurses in the middle of a long shift.

"I love the nicknames they came up with," Curry said after his Golden State Warriors' Game 4 win in the NBA Finals. "But I like [the shoes]."

"If I had them in the road bag I would have definitely worn them and showed you how fire they are."

So he did on Sunday. Or tried to.

During media obligations and practice, Curry wore the shoes that were mercilessly lambasted and cost $119.99.

He also wrote "straight fire" on them—or close, he wrote "straight" and drew a fire emoji next to it.

Word to the wise: If you want people to think you think your blatantly uncool sneakers are cool, don't show the world that you felt the need to draw on them to improve upon them.

If Steph really wants to convince us that his shoes are "fire," he'll have to wear them in Game 5.
