Ball boys are so many things.

Sometimes they're comic relief. Sometimes they're lifesavers. Sometimes they're dogs.

On Tuesday night, one Minnesota Twins ball boy was a hero to the unwitting fans behind him.

With reliever Kevin Jepsen on the mound in the ninth inning of a tie game on Tuesday, Baltimore Orioles outfielder Joey Rickard knocked a line drive foul down the right field line. The ball boy made a diving catch to stop the liner before it could reach a group of fans that appeared unprepared to defend themselves.

That'd be the highlight of the night for the Twins, however, as Rickard singled and eventually scored what turned out to be the winning run in a 5-3 ballgame.

Minnesota, owners of a 8-25 record after another loss on Wednesday afternoon, may beĀ hotter garbage than the last two decades of Nicolas Cage's IMDB page, but at least they'll always have that play by the ball boy.

You did it, Twins.
