Marina didn’t have an ordinary life, although it did start normal. She was born (probably) in 1950, and she thinks it was in Colombia. But all these facts are hazy, as she has recollection of those years with her parents.

She is sure she had parents or siblings, but after so many years away from them, she wouldn’t even remember their names or faces…

Her fascinating story has amazed people all over the world!

It’s a terrible thing to lose the people you love, the ability to speak your language and to even forget your own name. You see, Marina isn’t her birth name. It was the name she chose on her own as soon as she learned to do it.

But before that, her life would take incredible turns!

She was only four years old when she was kidnapped…

As she was paying attention to the peas, someone snuck up behind her and covered her mouth…

Here’s what Marina recalls of that awful moment.

“I saw a hand cover my mouth – a black hand in a white hanky. Then I realized there were two people taking me away,” said Marina in an interview about her life. She felt the smell of a chemical, which was most likely chloroform.

She passed away and recalls that she couldn’t even scream. One thing she remembers was that she felt she was going to die.
