Long after she was a series regular following around a tall purple dinosaur on “Barney and Friends,” and before she became a household name as the most baby-faced child starlet of all time, Selena Gomez enjoyed a sweet acting gig on the Disney series “Wizards of Waverly Place.” Gomez, undeniably the breakout star of the show, has since moved on to bigger and better things since the final episode aired in 2012.

On “Wizards of Waverly Place,” David Henrie found his home playing Justin Russo and to this day, he has nothing but good things to say about his time as a cast member.
“On a TV show, you are there for years with this group of people, you get to know them and they become your brothers, your fathers, your mothers, cousins– they become your family,” said Henrie.

Staying true to his “one big happy family” narrative, David Henrie has moved on (but not forgotten!) his former cast mates. Along with landing roles in films like “Grown Ups 2” and “Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2,” Henrie has acted in several indie dramas including “Cardboard Boxer” and “Warrior Road.”
Jennifer Stone, Then
Back when the Russo family ruled Disney primetime, actress Jennifer Stone fulfilled the role of Harper Finkle, Selena Gomez’s on-screen BFF.
While not a Russo, Stone still stole scenes with her on-point comedic timing that was perfectly in-line with her character’s backstory (Finkle was raised in a circus, so of COURSE her story arc is off-the-wall).

Since “Wizards” wrapped, Jennifer Stone took it easy and stepped back a bit from the cutthroat, fast-paced entertainment world and halted her career as an actress.
Following her stint on the Disney series, Stone went to university where she sought a degree pyschology before ultimately switching her focus to nursing.
