Celebrity Tattoos And Why They Got Them In The First Place
Tattoos are awesome but since they will always be on your body, you should always make sure to get something with deep meaning. This way, you will never get bored of the tattoo and what it means will make it that much more special for you.
Celebrities like tattoos as well and getting them is a big risk in their line of work since they will need to always cover them up when they take on new rules.
This is why the only tattoos you will mostly see on celebrities are those that honor somebody or something that means a lot to them. With that said, today we are going to show you the top celebrities tattoos with deep meaning behind them.
The Avengers
The Avengers is the biggest movie franchise in the world and it’s been running for nearly a decade now. This is why the cast has tattoos of a special Avengers logo that represents them all.
You can see the Avengers logo surrounded by the number six, which might stand for the original six superheroes – Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye.
However, to commemorate the decade they spent together, only 5 of them went to get tats, Mark Ruffalo deciding to sit this one out.
Some die-hard fans have theorized that each piece of that tattoo stands for every Avenger superhero – the A and C from the number 6 would stand for Captain America, there’s a symbol for Thor’s hammer, an arrow for Hawkeye and so on.
In the end, the tattoo is a symbol that shows how much the actors have dedicated for the franchise, no matter what other hidden meanings it could have.
Suicide Squad
Since we previously talked about the Avengers, we have to mention the Suicide Squad as well. These actors also got the same tattoo which says “SKWAD” on their arm, the difference is that they didn’t go to a professional artist and instead, they tattooed each other.
In an Instagram post, Joel Kinnaman, the actor that plays Rick Flagg, revealed his “skwad” tattoo which was made by co-star Will Smith, who plays Deadshot, captioning the image with this fun description: “Will has many many talents, tattooing is not one of them.
It was like watching a drunk baby fly a helicopter.”
Margot Robbie made some SKWAD tattoos for the cast as well, but on her first try she made a pretty big mistake!
The first person to raise the hand to get the tattoo was Jai Courtney’s cast assistant Simon who received a … SWAD tattoo instead of a SKWAD tattoo!
We bet they had a great time getting those tattoos, and Simon should be happy he has a one-of-a-kind tat from Harley Quinn!
David Beckham
David Beckham is known for having lots of great tattoos made by the world’s best artists. However, the ones that mean the most to him are of his wife Victoria Beckham and of Manchester, the first big soccer team to sign him.
Some of the most famous tattoos he has are on the back of neck, which shows a gothic cross with wings just above the name of Romeo, his son. On his neck, he also has the name of his daughter Harper tattooed, along with the words ‘Pretty Lady.
’
There’s also a rose tattoo that marks his tenth anniversary with his wife, Victoria, and together they have Hebrew tattoos to celebrate their sixth wedding anniversary.
They translate as “I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine.”
As you can see, he has a ton of tattoos. For instance, on his ribs he has a vertical side tattoo that contains Chinese symbols which translate to: “Death and life have determined appointments.
Riches and honor depend upon heaven.” Back in 2018, it was believed the star had around 40-50 tattoos, but we’re sure the number kept growing in time!
Demi Lovato
Demi Lovato loved her grandmother very much and this is why when she passed away, Demi decided to get a tattoo of her on her arm.
Demi thinks tats are something you get for personal milestones. Sometimes, she uses them to pay tribute for those she had loved and lost. One time, she had a tat of her beloved dog, and when she turned 26, she decided to get this tattoo.
It was the image of her grandmother, or as Lovato called – Mimaw. In 2016, her grandmother died and in 2016, when Lovato turned 26, she decided to get the portrait of her grandmother when she herself was 26.
The timing was very special, said Lovato on her Instagram page:
“This is for you Mimaw. You at 26 on my arm while I’m 26, and forever. I love you more.”
