Where Are They Now? 10 Heartthrobs From The ’90s That We Fell In Love With
The 90’s
Oh, the ‘90s! It was a time of flannel, cheesy pop music, and adorable boys with floppy center-parted haircuts. Well, we’ve got major nostalgia, and are big-time reminiscing about our favorite ’90s heartthrobs.
Not only did we see all their movies, sing all their songs, and learn all their dance moves, but we also managed to cover every single inch of our bedroom walls and school notebooks with pictures of the teen stars.
So pop in your Britney cassette, plug in your unironic lava lamp, and scroll through these 90s heartthrobs that’ll help you remember your first ever love.
Leonardo Dicaprio
We fell in love with pre-dadbod Leo over and over again in the ‘90s. Maybe the obsession began when he was just a feisty, chain-smoking teen in The Basketball Diaries, or as the star-crossed lover in Romeo and Juliet?
With that angelic face, none of us ever had a chance, did we? But let’s be real, no one can watch the ‘90s blockbuster Titanic without developing an intense attraction to Leo’s mesmerizing blue eyes and mega-watt smile. You jump, I jump?
YES LEO, WE WOULD JUMP.
Not only is Leo still acting and (finally) won a well-deserved Oscar, he’s also very vocal about climate change. Wow. Gorgeous and an environmentalist? We will never, ever let go.
Jared Leto
If you were attracted to men and had a pulse in the ’90s, there was little to no chance that you weren’t into Jared Leto. Back in the day, he fulfilled many bad-boy fantasies thanks to his role as Jordan Catalano on My So-Called Life.
Just look at his leather jacket and jawline!
Jared, whose face genuinely hasn’t aged at all (WE NEED TO KNOW HIS SKINCARE ROUTINE!), went very “fashion” and is now a staple on the Met Gala red carpet and in Gucci ads.
He’s also the lead singer of the rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars and is still acting – you may have heard that he played the Joker in a little movie called Suicide Squad?
Hugh Grant
It’s hard to believe that Hugh Grant is nearly 60 and happily married with five children when our collective image of him is that of the eternally thirtysomething, mesmerizing, posh British boy of the ‘90s.
With his striking blue eyes and charming smile, Hugh was the leading man for classic rom-com’s like Four Weddings and a Funeral and Notting Hill.
Hugh is (thankfully) still making his mark in Hollywood, but he’s taken to more character-actor roles, including the bad guy in Paddington 2 (which was totally snubbed by the Oscars let’s be real!
)
Joseph Gordon Levitt
Okay, so Joseph Gordon Levitt didn’t really reach his peak until the 2000s, but he was still pretty cute in 10 Things I Hate About You and A River Runs Through It.
Since then he’s gone on to star in both indies and major blockbusters including 500 Days of Summer and Inception.
But let’s be real, is there any ’90s throwback better than the long hair and center part that Joseph rocked on 3rd Rock From the Sun? No, fellow ‘90s babies, no there is not.
