Woman Goes On Date With Man Who Mocked Her, She Gets Even
Louisa’s so lost in constructing scenarios for the evening ahead that she’s surprised to see how far she’s come. Already the bar is in sight. There’s nothing slick about it, no fancy fonts or tables with umbrellas.
She knew she had to pick a place for their date that wasn’t in the city. Somewhere that was discrete. Despite the late hour, she can still hear music from inside. But Louisa’s not here for the music. She was here to get revenge.
Below the clack of her heels, her heartbeat pounds it’s own quickening rhythm. Part of her is wanting to turn around, but as she reaches into her bag she grabs onto something. She knew she needed to make him pay.
All she could think about was revenge.
She Was Living The Life
For Louisa, life as a single 20-something was the life you’d expect from every other singleton in the city. She had a thriving career, fantastic friends, and a gorgeous apartment.
But although she sometimes longed for a boyfriend, Louisa enjoyed playing the field. After all, that’s what being young is all about right? With every step Louisa took in her 6-inch heels, she exuded confidence.
But 10 years ago, life wasn’t so easy for Louisa.
High School Experience
When Louisa was just ten years old she was constantly tormented at her high school for being overweight. There was one older boy who was particularly cruel. He’d call her “man-beast,” a play on her last name.
Those words made an impression on 12-year-old Louisa, who developed an eating disorder and struggled to maintain her self-confidence over the next few years. When Louisa left school she felt relieved knowing she’d never see this boy again.
But little did she know how wrong she was.
She Changed Her Life
Over the years Louisa lost weight and became a confident, independent young woman. She was thriving in life. She had a great job, fantastic friends, and a stunning apartment in the city.
So when her friend asked her to go to their local bar for a few drinks one Friday night, Louisa didn’t hesitate. She thought she knew how this night would pan out. But she was so wrong.
A Busy Friday Night
The bar had hundreds of conversations told in loud voices, all of them competing with the pop music that dominates the room. The crowd is young students from the local university. Louisa winds her way through the warm bodies to order a drink.
She leans on the bar, her brown hair lying over one shoulder of her sequinned dress. She lolled her head to one side, pushing out her red lips just a little. Louisa knew she was in for a good night.
But she could never have prepared herself for this.
