Elderly Woman Responds To Cashier’s Comments, Her Story Goes Viral

Everybody is aware that there is this thing called a generation gap. This means that the older people don’t understand the young people and vice versa, but that doesn’t mean that the different generations shouldn’t talk between them.

There is a lot to learn from each other, and we might even be surprised. This is what the protagonist of our story demonstrated.

Even if she is old, doesn’t mean she has lost her spark, so if you want to be sarcastic to her, you better think twice before doing so.

A Simple Woman

Starting our story, we find Dorothy, a simple woman going to the supermarket. She wanted to do the groceries for the week so she didn’t have to come back to the supermarket again, after all, she wasn’t as young as she used to be, and these trips to the supermarket were getting more and more difficult.

Still, she wasn’t going to stop doing everything in her life by herself, even if it was tiring her. She wanted self-reliance.

In Need Of Groceries

She went to the grocery store close to her house, with the list of what she wanted to get ready. She started going around the shop, putting the stuff she wanted into the shopping cart.

She didn’t pay a lot of attention to what was getting, since she was used to doing this every week, so this process was a bit automatic for her. After a bit, she had everything she wanted. It was time to go to the checkout.

This is where she met her “enemy”.

Meeting The Cashier

After a bit of waiting in the line, it was her time to start bagging the groceries. She said a polite “hello” to the young cashier as she started scanning the things she had gotten.

Item after item was getting scanned by the efficient cashier, but Dorothy was struggling to keep up with her speed while bagging the items. She also realized that she had gotten quite a few more things than she originally thought.

This would take her a few trips back and forth.

The Cashier’s Behavior

The cashier was getting impatient with how slowly Dorothy was putting her items in the bags, so she decided to help her.

They were both packing the things, but Dorothy realized that she didn’t have enough bags with her, so she asked the cashier for a few more plastic bags.

How could she know, that this would be the start of the event that would make her famous all over the internet?
