Mama Bear Abandons Cubs So Fishermen Come To The Rescue

The River Crossing

A mother bear and her two cubs had to pass a river crossing, the waters were frigid and almost frozen at this time of year. The mother bear still thought she knew best and waded in with her cubs in tow.

Disaster

But disaster strikes as the mama bear loses her cool and panics as the current gets stronger. Abandoning her motherly instincts, she goes into fight or flight and erratically paddles to safety – leaving her cubs alone in the river.

An Unlikely Rescue

It seemed that these two cubs would be at the mercy of the current. But a fishing boat in the distance spots them. They know the risks, but they can’t let them drown.

They speed to the cubs and one at a time they try to fish them out with the ironically with the nets they use to catch fish. They manage to get the cubs on board and drop them off at shore, where the mother was waiting.
