She heard the ringing in her ears, but it wasn’t really over just yet.

She could still smell the burning of rubber in her nose as adrenaline flooded her system. But just as she thought things couldn’t get worse a car stopped next to her.

Hard Morning

The day had been like any other – a crazy morning rush.

Tina’s young son Kennet was late for his swimming class and she had a long grocery list she had to get. To make matters even worse her youngest daughter was having a tantrum.

Bad Start

Tina just needed to get her children to where they had to be and then she had to take care of some chores at home.

She basically worked two jobs and was so busy even at good times. But things would take an unexpected turn.

No Respite In Sight

And the rush didn’t just stop in the morning. It continued into the afternoon and she felt like crying.

To make her day even worse she found that she still hadn’t been paid and that one of her shirts was lost by the dry cleaners.

Alarming Smell

She looked around for what was making such a weird noise. Then she felt a vibration underneath her. It was like she was driving on a gravel track.

When the car finally evened out she could smell the burning of rubber. The fumes filled her car and made it very unpleasant. What had happened?
