These 2018 celebrity deaths are, at times, hard to come to terms with. But it may be ultimately helpful to celebrate their lives, their work and what they’ve meant to us. So we let’s say goodbye to these late, great stars.
The Queen of Soul. That’s Aretha Franklin’s well-deserved title. She was a powerhouse singer, blasting her way through iconic tracks like “Respect”, “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman”, and “I Say A Little Prayer”. She was the first female inductee into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, won the Presidential Medal of Freedom, and was named the greatest singer ever by Rolling Stone. Franklin died on August 16 at the age of 76, of pancreatic cancer.
