According to Ariana Grande, every single one of her fans is beautiful enough to rub shoulders with A-listers and worthy of rewarding themselves with the same amount of love and adoration they share with their favorite chart-topping hitmaker.

In a recent Instagram story, Grande delivered an emotional and heartfelt message to the 118 million followers eager for social media updates from the “Side to Side” singer.

“I love meeting y’all out and about, it makes me so happy!” wrote Grande, fresh off her beagle/Chihuahua puppy Toulouse’s cutest pet award at the 2018 iHeart Radio Music Awards. “But it makes me so sad when y’all don’t put your faces in the photos or put emojis over your faces or ask to not be in them! You show me so much unconditional love all the time no matter what tf I look like.

“You deserve to show yourselves that same kindness. Please learn to give that to yourselves! You will get there and you deserve it and i love you the very same way!”

In response, #Arianators flooded Twitter with posts tagged with #SelfiesForAriana, dedicated to showing their idol that they were taking her words to heart.

“Thank you Ariana for giving me the self-confidence that I have today,” wrote one fan moved by Grande’s plea to witness her fans support themselves as much as they encourage her career. “I barely ever took selfies and now I find myself taking so many more. I love you. thank you.”

“I’m nowhere near self confident but I’m getting better,” wrote one Grande stan who made the bold move to upload a selfie with a hashtag that would guarantee it reached a worldwide audience.

In the current age of Facetune and Photoshop, hats off to Grande for putting her fans on blast for editing themselves out of snaps and for showing her followers that you don’t need a #GlamSquad to be beautiful.
