Far removed from her humble “X Factor” beginnings, singer-songwriter Camila Cabello has proven herself as a formidable force in the music industry with the success of “Camila,” her eponymous debut solo album.
Following its Jan. 12 release, Cabello’s self-titled debut has crushed a number of impressive commercial benchmarks along with claiming the coveted No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200. The “Never Be the Same” hitmaker took to Twitter to thank the millions of #Camilizers that took her hit single “Havana” to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 at the same time “Camila” dominated the album charts.
“i can’t even believe this,” she wrote. “this is all because of you and how hard you go for me we DID IT!!!!!!! can’t be articulate right now because i’m speechless but my heartbeat is saying a million words at a time !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love you.”

One of only 11 albums to top the iTunes albums chart in over one hundred countries, “Camila” has also placed the former Fifth Harmony member in illustrious company. Alongside industry legends Beyonce and Britney Spears, the “Crying in the Club” songstress is only the third female solo artist to dominate both Billboard charts simultaneously.
.@Camila_Cabello is the first artist to notch her first week atop BOTH the Billboard 200 albums chart and #Hot100 songs chart simultaneously since Beyoncé in 2003! https://t.co/bWpSs56lvy pic.twitter.com/o2oa5mWTE0

Crushing records left and right, Cabello is also the first female artist to wear the triple crown of topping the Artist 100, Billboard Hot 100 songs chart and Billboard 200 albums chart since Adele accomplished the impressive feat two years prior. Notably, Cabello is the first artist–male or female-to boast the simultaneous triple domination since the release of Kendrick Lamar’s “Damn” last spring.
Who’s having a good week? @Camila_Cabello 🔥! #1 album on the charts and now #Camila is officially Gold 📀!First 2018 album to earn an RIAA certification. Wow. #Havana is 3X Platinum too.👏💯 pic.twitter.com/uuPp5YSdmu

To round out her week full of wins, Cabello took to Twitter once more to share the news of her solo debut claiming the first RIAA certification of 2018.
With this sudden wave of success, we’re sure Cabello isn’t giving Fifth Harmony’s shade-filled VMAs performance a second thought.
