A lot of celebritiy marriages end in divorce. Probably most of them. And some celeb exes stay in the spotlight, but others disappear. So here's what happened to some celebrity ex-spouses you probably forgot about...

Britney Spears' Ex, Kevin Federline

Britney Spears and her backup dancer Kevin Federline were married for three years. They had two children together and even documented their marriage on a reality show. After their 2007 divorce, Federline got fat, then appeared on "Celebrity Fit Club." He remarried, to volleyball player Victoria Prince, and spit a guest verse on "Expectations" by Ya Boy Rich Rocka.

Kim Kardashian's Ex, Damon Thomas

From 2000 to 2004, Kim Kardashian was married to music producer Damon Thomas. Kardashian later accused Thomas of physical and emotional abuse. Since their split, Thomas has continued producing music as half of the production duo The Underdogs, including soundtracks for movies like "Straight Outta Compton" and "Pitch Perfect."

Meghan Markle's Ex, Trevor Engelson

Before she became royalty, Meghan "The Friggin' Duchess of Sussex" Markle was an actor married to producer Trevor Engelson. They started dating in 2004, wed in 2011, and got divorced in 2013. Markle later married Prince Harry, and Engelson married dietitian Tracey Kurland. He's also kept producing, including the acclaimed FX drug drama "Snowfall."

Channing Tatum's Ex, Jenna Dewan

Dancer-turned-actor Channing Tatum met dancer-turned-actor Jenna Dewan on the set of "Step Up," and married in 2009. In 2018, they divorced. Since then, Dewan has appeared in "Berlin, I Love You," the Fox medical drama "The Resident," and continues to host and guest mentor "World of Dance." She's in a relationship with Tony Award-winning actor Steve Kazee.

Sandra Bullock's Ex, Jesse James

While he's not the famous cowboy you might be thinking of, TV personality and biker Jesse James did behave like an outlaw during his marriage with America's sweetheart Sandra Bullock. The two got married in 2005, after Bullock visited the set of James' TV show "Monster Garage" with her godson. Then, in 2010, it was revealed that James cheated on Bullock with several women, and they were divorced later that year. Since then, James had another high profile relationship with tattoo artist Kat Von D, before marrying drag racer Alexis DeJoria. He also hosted a new reality show called "Jesse James: Outlaw Garage," which was canceled after one season.

Robert De Niro's Ex, Grace Hightower

Robert De Niro met his second wife, philanthropist, socialite, and actor Grace Hightower, in 1987 while she was working at a Chinese restaurant. The couple married 10 years later and had two children together. In 1999, they considered divorcing, before working out their problems and renewing their vows in 2004. But in 2018, they ended their marriage for good. Hightower is currently fighting for many of De Niro's assets while maintaining her work with organizations like the New York Women's Foundation. It's also reported that she is a supporter of President Donald Trump, which irked the combatively liberal De Niro to no end.

Before his marriage to human rights advocate Amal Alamuddin, George Clooney was known as a pervasive bachelor. But did you know he was married before? His marriage to fellow actor Talia Balsam lasted from 1989 to 1993, with Clooney publicly stating that he wasn't ready for marriage at the time. Since then, Balsam has maintained a steady acting career, including a regular role on HBO's "Divorce," and married actor John Slattery. The two have a son, and even played husband and wife on "Mad Men" together.

Johnny Depp's Ex, Lori Anne Allison

While the story of Johnny Depp's high profile, highly volatile marriage with actor Amber Heard is well known now, in 1983 he married makeup artist Lori Anne Allison. He was only 20 years old and working primarily as a musician -- Allison was the sister of his band's bass player. The couple divorced two years later, but during their marriage, Allison introduced Depp to Nicolas Cage, who advised Depp to try acting. Since their romance, Allison has continued working steadily as a makeup artist, and has publicly supported Depp when domestic abuse allegations against him became public.

Jennifer Lopez's Ex, Ojani Noa

J. Lo has had her pick of the litter. Ms. Lopez has been married to Marc Anthony, engaged to Ben Affleck, and is currently engaged to Alex Rodriguez. But before these celeb power merges, Lopez got married to waiter Ojani Noa in 1997. The couple divorced just one year later. Since then, Noa has attempted to cash in on his brief marriage to Lopez. In 2006, she successfully sued Noa for trying to write an inflammatory, tell-all book. Currently, the two are still locked in a legal battle over a sex tape Noa is threatening to release if Lopez's settlement price isn't right.

James Cameron's Ex, Gale Anne Hurd

In 1985, super-producer Gale Anne Hurd married super-director James Cameron, and the two became a super-couple of iconic genre cinema. During their work-and-love relationship, they dropped classics like "The Terminator," "Aliens," and "The Abyss." They divorced in 1989, but continued to work together on other titles in the "Terminator" franchise. Hurd has since been married to filmmakers Brian De Palma and Jonathan Hensleigh. She's also produced modern classics like "Armageddon" and "The Walking Dead." In 2017, she was awarded the Fangoria Lifetime Achievement Award.

Billy Bob Thornton's Ex, Cynda Williams

Before Billy Bob Thornton's highly publicized marriage to Angelina Jolie, he married actor/musician Cynda Williams in 1990, known best for her role in "Mo Better Blues." Thornton cast her in his screenwriting debut "One False Move," and she was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for her work. The couple divorced two years later, but Williams' continued to work regularly in TV, film, and music. She had another brief marriage to actor Arthur Louis Fuller, and is currently married to football player turned TV producer Roderick Plummer.

Talk about a power couple: "The Big Bang Theory" star Kaley Cuoco wed professional tennis player Ryan Sweeting in 2013. Cuoco took the marriage seriously, changing her professional name to Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting and giving a controversial statement to Redbook that she didn't consider herself a feminist because she loved taking care of her husband. The couple divorced in 2016, Cuoco went back to her old name, and Sweeting fell out of the public eye, tennis and otherwise. During the last years of their marriage, Sweeting had issues with drug and alcohol addiction that couldn't be surmounted.

Drew Barrymore has dated her share of stars, including a brief and fraught marriage to provocative comedian Tom Green. Then, in 2012, she married art consultant Will Kopelman, the son of a former Chanel CEO. The pair had two children together, but divorced amicably four years later. Kopelman has since kept working relatively quietly, dated people like musician Karen Elson, and continues to co-parent his children with Barrymore, drama-free.

For three years, Grace Miguel lived the answers to those questions in her marriage to Usher. But then, in 2017, Usher got caught up in a scandal involving infidelity, emotional abuse, and herpes. One year later, without mentioning any specifics, Miguel and Usher got divorced. Miguel, a longstanding power player in the music industry (and former chef on "The Cosby Show"), has since kept quiet by design -- she and Usher signed a confidentiality agreement as part of their settlement.

In the 1990s, No Doubt and Bush were on top of the alt-rock mountain. And when the two bands were booked to go on tour together, their lead singers, Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale respectively, hit it off. The couple got married in 2002, worked together on each other's records, and had three children together. Then, in 2016, the couple finalized their divorce. Since then, Rossdale put out another album with Bush, "Black and White Rainbows," which featured the single "Mad Love" about a relationship turning sour. Another new Bush album, "The Mind Plays Tricks on You," is scheduled to come out late 2019.

Tiger Woods' Ex, Elin Nordegren

Swedish model and nanny Elin Nordegren divorced Tiger Woods in 2010 after he got caught cheating on her, like, a lot. She since used her settlement money to buy a Florida mansion, then demolish it and donate salvageable materials to Habitat for Humanity. As of 2019, Nordegren is expecting a child with former NFL tight end Jordan Coleman.

Chris Rock's Ex, Malaak Compton

Philanthropist and executive director Malaak Compton married Chris Rock in 1996, and stayed by his side for 10 years. As both of their careers flourished, the couple had two children together. But in 2016, they got divorced, due in part to Rock's infidelity and addiction to pornography. After the divorce, Compton continued to work for her many charitable outreach programs, including styleWORKS, an organization that helps women transitioning from welfare to the workplace with their image.

Angelina Jolie's Ex, Jonny Lee Miller

One year after that, they got divorced, spurred in part by Jolie's commitments to the film "Gia." After their whirlwind romance, Miller remained friends with Jolie, and married actor Michele Hicks in 2006. Miller has enjoyed a versatile career in film, TV, and theatre since his time with Jolie, and currently stars on CBS' Sherlock Holmes procedural "Elementary."

Four years after Paul McCartney lost his wife Linda to cancer, he married Heather Mills, a British model-turned-activist who famously lost her leg in a police motorcycle accident. The couple had a child together, and McCartney wrote many pieces of music about Mills. However, in 2008, Mills and McCartney went through a bitter, publicized divorce in which Mills behaved erratically, even pouring a pitcher of water on McCartney's lawyer's head. Since then, Mills has publicly fought against the media's inflammatory treatment of her. She's also opened vegan restaurants, appeared on "Dancing on Ice," and attempted to participate in the 2014 Paralympics -- though she was not invited due to poor behavior against the officials.

Pop superstar Katy Perry married infamous comedian Russell Brand in 2010, and the two enjoyed a public, spectacle-filled marriage until their abrupt divorce in 2012, much of which was analyzed in Perry's documentary film "Katy Perry: Part of Me." Since their relationship's end, Brand has continued to work in show biz, including voice roles in family films like "Despicable Me 2" and "Trolls." He also has his own podcast and YouTube vlog devoted to political activism and self-betterment. He's currently married to Laura Gallacher, a lifestyle blogger.

Then, in 2009, the Hogans divorced after Linda found out about Hulk's infidelity, which was later disseminated by the now-defunct website Gawker. Since then, Linda had another high-profile relationship with the much younger Charley Hill. She's also had her share of legal troubles, including a DUI in 2012.
