YouTube superstar Jake Paul and his are-they-or-aren’t-they ex-GF Alissa Violet both know what brings viewers to their pages. Alissa, a member of Paul’s Team 10 social media incubator and resident of the group’s viral frathouse was linked to the star following a series of cute YouTube collabs and Instagram pics.
Captioning photos with misleading statements like “We’re best friends but double tap if you ship it” showcased Paul’s undeniable skill to produce the content his viewers wanted to see. “Jalissa” soon swept through the community of “Jake Paulers” dedicated to serving their dabbin’-on-em’ leader by promoting their relationship. However, after a nasty Twitter argument that had Paul and Violet both hurling vicious cheating allegations, Violet moved to set the record straight with a revealing Tweet.

Never one to be outdone, Paul then used the platform of his burgeoning rap career to diss Violet in the lyrics of “It’s Everyday Bro.” “And you know I kick them out if they ain’t with the crew/Yeah, I’m talking about you, you beggin’ for attention talking shit on Twitter, too/But you still hit my phone last night, it was 4:52, and I got the text to prove/And all the recordings, too… don’t make me tell the truth,” Paul rapped, in a not-so-subtle call out of Violet’s Twitter rant.
With the two former Vine sensations calling foul on the other, will we ever know if “Jalissa” was for real?
While their relationship status is still up for question, there’s no doubt that Paul has a certain “type” when it comes to the ladies he’s interested in. Recently, the larger-than-life YouTuber was spotted cozying up to model Joy Corrigan while grabbing a bite to eat at Catch LA in Los Angeles.
And here’s Violet, for comparison:
While Paul insists he’s moved on, it’s hard to believe that he’s not still hung up on his ex when his first girlfriend following their split could be her twin.
