Gifting fans with a social media presence far removed from his eating-alone-on-Grammy-night vibe, rapper Kanye West finally pulled the trigger on his much-anticipated returned to Instagram. Intending to publicly celebrate the love he shares with reality star and KKW Cosmetics queen Kim Kardashian, Yeezy briefly reactivated his personal ‘Gram account to catalogue his pick of the world’s most influential power couples–including a nod to #KimYe, of course.

After starting the Insta-spam session with a homemade white card that sported Ye’s simple, handwritten “Happy Valentine’s Day Babe” message, the “Famous” rapper went on to drop a series of photos depicting pop culture’s prized couples from past to present. Including heavyweight duos like Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt, (pre-Brangelina, naturally) Aaliyah and Tupac Shakur, Lisa Bonet and Lenny Kravitz and Iman and David Bowie, Yeezy couldn’t help from closing out his upload session with snaps of the ultimate power couple–himself and his Internet-breaking wife.

Following the completion of his Valentine’s Day love spam, the 40-year-old rapper deactivated his account once more and returned to his self-imposed social media hiatus. After his departure, Twitter went into mourning and lamented the loss of arguably the most quotable celebrity of all time

“kanye deleted his instagram again and i don’t know why but i’m so upset,” wrote one Yeezy fan troubled by West’s sudden social media silence.

We can only hope that West’s upcoming album drop will force the veteran rapper to flex for the ‘Gram once more, giving fans a rare glimpse into the reclusive star’s private world.
