Fresh off of his “Good Morning America” apology tour comeback, disgraced YouTuber Logan Paul was forced to face his own mortality during a skydiving experience gone horribly wrong.

The 22-year-old Vine-star-turned-YouTube-juggernaut has been under fire from both the general public and his celebrity peers after he uploaded a video filmed during a trip to Japan’s Aokigahara forest. Infamous as the second most popular location in the world for individuals to take their own lives, Paul and his crew treated the forest with an alarming amount of cruelty and disrespect. After stumbling across the body of a recently deceased suicide victim, Paul proceeded to crack jokes at the man’s expense before uploading the offensive clip to his channel which boasts 16 million subscribers.

After promising his millions of fans that he has learned from his mistakes and will be a “better person” moving forward, the vlogger took to Twitter to reveal the specifics of a skydiving experience that nearly ended in disaster.

“here’s a photo of my empty pack after i had to cut away my main parachute bc it didn’t open i can tell you — the feeling of the blue reserve parachute opening & functioning properly was miraculous this has never happened to another student before at this school,” wrote Paul. “LP lives on 🙂.”

For the benefit of the millions of #Logang members that have stood by their idol despite his universal condemnation in the media, Paul remains alive to vlog another day – feet firmly planted on the ground, of course.
