What Made DJ Khaled Get On A Plane For The First Time In 10 Years?

DJ Khaled is known for three things: dropping major keys on Snapchat, shouting his own name/We The Best Music in the middle of his club bangers, and his long list of high-profile collaborations that dominate the charts.  Fear doesn’t enter the carefully crafted public image embraced by those familiar with his #FANLUV universe. Fear has no place in the Ciroc-studded, gilded life of luxury Khaled has created for his family after grinding for years on the music scene.

No More Fear, Asahd Is Here

However, the mogul conquered his massive fear of flying recently with the help of his 11-month-old son, Asahd. The soon-to-be 1-year-old is  living his best life while amassing wealth and status most won’t see in a lifetimerocking a custom Gucci suit at the VMAs, and executive producing “Grateful,” his music-mogul daddy’s latest RIAA certified platinum album.

On top of his massive career accomplishments, Asahd provided his famous father with the courage necessary to tackle a decade-long stretch of keeping his feet firmly planted on the ground.

Khaled took to Instagram to thank his son for providing that much-needed extra boost to board a (private) jet, telling his millions of followers with Asahd planted comfortably on his lap, “I haven’t flown in 10 years. In 10 years! That’s the only thing I had was fear of flying. Asahd made me overcome my fear of flying.”

GOD AND @asahdkhaled GOT ME !🙏🏽

Asahd then turned to his father with a quick grin and received a heartfelt “I love you” from the 41-year-old producer.

With Khaled’s wealth and love for the finer things, it’s unlikely that he’ll ever be seen boarding a commercial jet. Even if we can’t catch him in first class, we’re refreshing his Twitter feed now more than ever, hoping he’ll drop the next #majorkey from the sky.

Bless up!
