In the cutthroat world of hip-hop, beefs don’t ever disappear completely. Despite the fact that Bronx-bred femcee Cardi B and Queens hitmaker Nicki Minaj allegedly buried their escalating feud at the 2018 Met Gala, it’s clear that the two leading female rappers in the game right now have no plans to clear the air completely.

With as much business acumen as it takes for both Bardi and the head #Barbz to build multimillion-dollar empires out of their own personal brands, there’s no way these HBICs would miss out on securing the bag via a joint collaboration. As much as a Bardi x Minaj joint would slap on the charts, both rappers refuse to swallow their pride and move forward while putting their bruised egos behind them.

Now firmly on mommy duties after recently giving birth to Kulture Kiari, her first child with husband and Migos rapper Offset, Cardi B’s temporary hiatus from the game means nothing to Minaj. Sorry, #BardiGang, but just because Cardi B gave birth doesn’t erase the fact that she can be a sneaky-ass bitch behind the scenes.

“Nicki has no plans on congratulating Cardi anytime soon on her new baby with Offset,” said a source close to the “Chun-Li” rapper, adding that Minaj “has mixed emotions about her relationship with Cardi, things are complicated and at times tense between them.”

The source also noted: “Nicki feels competitive with Cardi and has no need to try to kiss her butt with baby gifts. Nicki wants to keep her edge when it comes to Cardi, so she hasn’t sent over any silver rattles or other gifts for her new baby.”

Call Minaj stingy or petty all you want … but her biggest competitor giving birth doesn’t change the fact that there’s bad blood between them. From playing dumb in the press to the controversy surrounding Migos’ “Motorsport” music video, Bardi has given Minaj NO reason to forgive the rap newcomer for her sins.

Sorry, Cardi B, but millions of women give birth every day without their workplace enemies showering them in gifts.
